How to restore a cracked dash to OEM
There are many videos that go over flocking dashes, which in my opinion is just a quick fix, they tend to crack again, or they just look terrible after some sun and wear. I decided to try out something new, and the results were amazing!

Race Car Fuse Box Wiring Done Right 240sx | Automotive Wiring

Materials/part numbers/tools below Wiring up a fuse box for my 180sx. Will work for 240sx or any other schassis, or car for that matter. Its as professional as you can get, without getting an extremely expensive motec style PDM unit. Forget messing around with hillbilly relays screwed into a board, with wires going everywhere do it right the first time. This will be used for fuel pump wiring, e...

Is there need for relays if you have one big cable going from the battery to the fuse box and from the fuse box to all devices like radiator fan, fuel pump, powerwindows etc. Before the fusebox you add a battery killswitch, evertime you stop driving, use the killswitch to disactivate the fuse box. Am I right with my thoughts?

awesome video. not doing a racecar this time. purchased a 66 bronco that needs new wiring badly.. after pricing aftermarket harnesses at $800-$1000, i decided I'd just wire it myself with some GXL since i did a HWY22 install from AAW on my 68 mustang. its pretty much just a universal fuse block. I'll be going with the Eaton 15305-1-2-3 20 circuit panel.

I bought some of those fuse and relay boxes a few years ago. A few grand in total including contacts. Only to realise that the relays are non standart. And the only company that sells them in under 1000 pieces is in switzerland and only accepts card payment...which almost nobody uses in europe

Thanks plan to make a few boxes for standalone race type obd1 and k swap barebones engine management power distribution. This video and how you phase the process really makes I easy for the viewer to pause, perform length process, the continue without being bombarded with too much wealthiest of knowledge. Ie overseas. The directiveness and specificity about the crimp tool selection and advice for performing these functions properly enables guys to save and feel accomplished about their builds. You did a good thing. Cheers brother. I'll subscribe now. RESPECT

I'm just now getting around to doing this and realized you've referenced the wrong terminals for the 10awg jumpers. The correct part number is 12110853 for the tangless terminals you show in the video.

The plugs that you created all had a single wire going to them, so why not use a single wire connector to save space?

I have the Bussman relay box 15303-5 - a number of switches send a ground signal to activate the relay (vs a + trigger) - is there a way to trigger the a / or some relays (pin 86) on the 15303-5 using a ground signal ?

Does mounting these relays upside down actually change anything? Aren't the connections through the relay, still through the diagonals, so if you mount upside down, they work the same?

What if your using this to make a complete chassis setup, but using the 10 relay 40 fuse option, can you get solutions for timer relays, and relevant flashers etc. thanks

    • @Ridgebackjp

not really, I've done some research to try to do this, some relays are pretty unique, and you would have to use a couple of the stock ones.
